1. Accepting these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Achievr. Creating an account, connecting a bank, or otherwise using the service means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use Achievr.
2. Who can use Achievr
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. Achievr is not directed at children, and accounts are for individuals and their households, not for resale or for managing money on behalf of clients.
3. Your account
You sign in with an email address and password, or with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping those credentials safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@achievr.me if you believe someone else has access to it.
Give accurate information when you sign up. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms or the law.
4. Achievr is not financial advice
This is the most important clause on this page. Achievr organises numbers you give it and numbers it imports from your bank. It forecasts, categorises, and charts. It does not know your full circumstances, and it is not a financial adviser, accountant, tax adviser, broker, or lender.
Every projection is an estimate built on assumptions that may be wrong. Balances and transactions imported from your bank can be delayed, incomplete, or misreported. Always check your bank’s own records before you act on anything you see here, and take professional advice for decisions that matter.
5. Connecting a bank
Bank connections run through Plaid. When you link an account, you authorise Plaid to access transaction data on your behalf and to share it with Achievr. You enter your banking credentials into Plaid’s own interface; Achievr never sees or stores them.
Your use of that connection is also subject to Plaid’s terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect an institution from Achievr’s settings at any time, which stops further syncing.
6. The AI assistant
Achievr’s assistant runs on a model provider you choose, using an API key you supply. That has consequences worth being explicit about:
- Your key is yours. You are responsible for any charges the provider bills you for usage through Achievr, and for complying with that provider’s own terms.
- To answer questions about your money, the assistant sends relevant financial context to that provider. If you would rather no third party see it, do not enable the assistant.
- Model output can be confidently wrong. Treat it as a draft to check, not an answer to act on, and see clause 4.
7. Households and sharing
Achievr lets you invite someone into a shared household. Doing so gives that person access to the financial data in it. Invite deliberately, and remove access when it is no longer wanted. You are responsible for who you invite.
8. Your data stays yours
You own everything you enter and everything imported on your behalf. You grant Achievr only the permission it needs to run the service for you: to store your data, process it, display it back to you, and share it with the people you have invited into your household.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. The Privacy Policy sets out what is collected and who it is shared with.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access an account, household, or data that is not yours
- probe, scan, or attempt to break the service’s security or rate limits
- use Achievr to launder money, commit fraud, or break any applicable law
- scrape the service, resell access to it, or run automated bulk requests against it
- upload malware or anything designed to interfere with other people’s use
If you find a security flaw, please report it to support@achievr.me rather than exploiting it.
10. Availability and changes to the service
Achievr is offered as it is, without any warranty that it will be available, error free, or fit for a particular purpose. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the service may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, including problems at your bank or at Plaid.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Achievr is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or savings, or for any financial decision you make using the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time from settings. Doing so removes your financial records and disconnects any linked institutions, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why where we reasonably can.
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may change as Achievr changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms; if you do not, close your account.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms go to support@achievr.me, or through the contact page.
